Today's Top 5 Wednesday topic is top 5 most frustrating characters!

America Singer - The Selection

In the first book I didn't mind America at all, but as the series went on I got more and more frustrated with her. The only thing important in her life was choosing which guy she should wanted to be with. Her indecisiveness was extremely annoying and not understandable. I just wanted her to pick a guy and be done with it.

Tobias Eaten - Allegiant

Both Tris and Tobias were annoying in Allegiant but Tobias was more annoying. Throughout the book he would not stop complaining and whining about how he's not special anymore. Boo hoo get over it. I loved Tobias in Divergent and Insurgent. He was one of my favorite characters but in Allegiant I wanted to punch him.

Anastasia Steele - Fifty Shades of Grey

Ana was such a weak and cowardly character. She refused to stand up for herself and I wanted to scream at her. She let people do whatever they want with her and had no personality.

Cress - Cress

Cress gave me so much second-hand embarrassment. Literally, every other thing she did made me cringe. There were many moments where I had to put the book down for a few minutes because the embarrassment was too much.

Kristina Snow - Crank

Oh my god I hated Kristina. She made bad decision after bad decision. I felt Ellen Hopkins was trying way too hard to tell people about the consequences of drugs. I couldn't even get through the second book because Kristina couldn't do anything right.

Books I Wanted to Start Yesterday | Top 5 Wednesday

I couldn't think of a fourth and fifth book so here are my top 3 books that I wanted to start yesterday.

The Mistborn Trilogy - Brandon Sanderson

Ever since I read the synopsis of The Final Empire last year, I have wanted to read the series. The premise seems so interesting and I've heard so many good things!

The Raven Cycle Series - Maggie Stiefvater 

So many people have raved about this series and it sounds really interesting!

The Throne of Glass Series - Sarah J. Maas

These books have been sitting on my book since September and I really need to get to them! The books seem so kickass, I need to get to them soon.

Favorite Jokester/Sarcastic Characters | Top 5 Wednesday

I could only think of 4 characters so I decided to go with what I have.

4. Chubs - The Darkest Minds.

Chubs is an amazing character and has some really credit one-liners. He's incredibly sarcastic and always makes me laugh!

3. Leo Valdez - Heroes of Olympus

Oh Leo. He's grown so much as a character over the series. Even though he was one of the less "important" characters he's always been of my favorites. He always diffuses tension with his humor and can always offer a sarcastic but honest remark.


2. Kenji Kishimoto - Shatter Me

He was my favorite character in Ignite Me. He's so funny and I love his relationship with Juliette. He always lightens up the mood and is just perf <3

1. Will Herondale - The Infernal Devices

Will Herondale is one of my all time favorite characters. He's so snarky throughout the entire series and it's wonderful.

Books I'd Save in a Fire | Top 5 Wednesday

This weeks topic is "Books You Would Save in a Fire".

The first book I would save is Markus Zusak's The Book Thief. This book is my number one favorite book in the entire universe. I love is so so so much and I need it in my life.

The next book I would save is Darkwood by M.E. Breen. This is another favorite of mine. I read this book when I was 10 (11? 12?) and I've loved it ever since. It's not one most people know about (and I like it that way) but it's wonderful.

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman is another childhood favorite. Love love love.

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close is...amazing. I found this gem while in an airport bookstore a couple years back and I'm so glad I made the choice to buy it. It's an amazing, heart wrenching book that is also a fantastic movie and I can't live without it.

I can't think of a fifth book to put on this list and since, hypothetically, there's a fire in my house, and because I'm extremely indecisive person, I would just take these four books and run rather than die choosing a fifth book.

Top 5 Wednesday: Series I Want to Start this Year

There are a lot of books I want to read. Here are the series I want to start this year.

Throne of Glass - Sarah J. Maas

I've been wanting to read the Throne of Glass series for a while now. It sounds really interesting and I have all the books so this series is going to be one of my top priorities this year.

Mistborn - Brandon Sanderson

"In a world where ash falls from the sky, and mist dominates the night, an evil cloaks the land and stifles all life. The future of the empire rests on the shoulders of a troublemaker and his young apprentice. Together, can they fill the world with colour once more?" (via Goodreads)

First of all, the covers. Holy cow, they're absolutely gorgeous. I would read it for the covers alone. The premise sounds very interesting and I've heard great things about this book. I hope to read this soon!

The Kingkiller Chronicles - Patrick Rothfuss

I'm seeing a theme of beautiful covers in this list. Again, I've heard great things about this book and I've been wanting to read some epic fantasy.

The Raven Cycle - Maggie Stiefvater

Well, I haven't read these books yet (obviously) so I'm not completely sure how to summarize them and the Goodreads summary is crazy long. So, if you want to know what this series is about click here.

Hey, look. Pretty covers! The premise of this story is so mysterious and intriguing, I need to read it ASAP.

The Lord of the Rings - J.R.R. Tolkien

Top 5 Wednesday: Anticipated 2015 Releases

Hey guys!

I have decided to start participating in the Top 5 Wednesday group. If you didn't know, Top 5 Wednesday is where you post a video or blog post covering your top 5 of the topic every Wednesday. For the goodreads group, click here. This week's topic is top 5 most anticipated 2015 releases.

5.  Miss Mayhem - Rachel Hawkins (to be released April 7th)

Miss Mayhem is the second installment of the Rebel Belle series. I'm so excited to read this! I loved Rebel Belle. It was really fun and exciting to read so hopefully Miss Mayhem will be the same.

4. The Sword of Summer - Rick Riordan (to be released October 7th) 

The Sword of Summer is the first book of the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series. It follows Magnus Chase, a troubled kid who one day finds out he is the son of a Norse god. I love PJO and HOO so I have quite high expectations for this series. I cannot wait to read it! Hopefully Rick Riordan will amaze me once again.

3. Winter - Marissa Meyer (to be released November 24th, cover to be revealed)

Winter is the fourth and final installment of The Lunar Chronicles quartet. While I didn't think the first three books were amazing, I did enjoy them. I hope Winter will be better than the rest!

2. P.S. I Still Love You - Jenny Han (to be released June 2nd, cover to be revealed)

P.S. I Still Love You is the sequel to To All the Boys I've Loved Before. After reading To All the Boys I've Loved Before in November, I was thrilled to find out there was going to be a sequel. This first book was sweet, fluffy, and fun to read. There were a few loose ends I hope will be wrapped up in this book. Can't wait to read it!

Drum roll please!

1. Lady Midnight - Cassandra Clare (to be released September, cover to be revealed)

Lady Midnight is the first book of The Dark Artifices series. It follows Emma Carstairs, 5 years after the events in City of Heavenly Fire, when she lost her parents. In the book, Emma must race to stop a war between the Fair Folk and Nephilim by finding the murderer of several Downworlders and possibly her parents. I am so so so excited for this book! I absolutely love Cassandra Clare's other series. Her writing is amazing, as is her world building and her characters. I know this is going to be an amazing series. I'll be counting down the days! The release date got changed to March 2016 :(
